What is FINS?
FINS is the only financial institution in Europe providing customized loans for students who want to study abroad.
If you wish to study in any country in Europe (including the UK and Switzerland), you can access up to 25.000 EUR for Bachelor’s studies and Master’s studies, without requiring a job, income or banking history, or any other guarantees.
How to apply for a FINS Loan?
If you are preparing to apply, have applied, or are already accepted to a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme abroad, you can start the FINS application!
For this, you will need the documents detailed below and a little time to fill-in your online application.

What do I need to apply for a FINS Loan?
Customized budget
(download the application resources and fill-in the FINS budget template, depending on your needs and the amount you want to borrow).
Letter of motivation
(similar to the letter of motivation / personal statement required by the university).
Letter of Recommendation
(download the application resources and use the FINS template, this is mandatory!)
CV
Conditional / Unconditional letter from the university
(only if you have it)
Annex D - Income statement completed and signed
(download the application resources - this document is needed only if you are employed when applying OR you require a co-signer)
School Transcripts
If you are a high school student, provide the transcript for all high-school years completed so far.
If you are a university student, provide the transcript for all university years completed so far.
If you are a graduate, provide your final transcript.
High School Degree
(only if you graduated high-school and you apply for the undergraduate loan)
University Degree
(only if you graduated university and you apply for the postgraduate loan)
National ID OR Passport
Annex E - Affidavit of the co-signer completed and signed

What happens after I submit the online application?
We will reply in 48h if the application is complete.
If you application file is complete and you qualify for the next stage, then we will invite you to an interview for a detailed discussion.
What happens after the interview?
After the interview, we will decide if we can grant you a loan offer, based on the budget sent in the application and the discussion during the interview, within 72 hours.
What happens after I receive the loan offer?
After receiving the credit offer you need to analyze it and accept it.
You loan offer will always depend on your university offer. If you don’t have yet an offer from the university, or your offer is conditional, your loan offer will be conditional.(If your university offer becomes unconditional, then your FINS loan offer will also become unconditional).
Once you get an unconditional offer from a university abroad, we will be able to sign the loan contract.
After signing the loan contract, you will be able to receive the loan as agreed.
Wht do FINS students say?
FINS entails a lending mechanism focused rather on your professional and academic profile, as compared to other lending solutions provided by banks. Therefore, it is possible to access as source of financing for studies immediately after graduation. Moreover, FINS provides a loan based on personal estimates of expenses, structured in monthly instalments, both being useful in order to ensure an easier management of the budget during studies. Also, the application experience is a pleasant one, without the bureaucracy and rigidity of a standard financial institution. For me, FINS represents the main source of support that has allowed me to study abroad today.
